Millenium Plaza Park - Lake Oswego, Oregon

In the heart of Lake Oswego is this beautiful urban park. The park features views of Lakewood Bay, this community gathering place features a pergola, fireplace, reflecting pond and a paved plaza. Many events are planned each year including the Saturday Lake Oswego Farmers' Market, Thursday Movies in the Park during July and August, and Sunday Moonlight & Music concerts. It was a bit too cold for any of those ideas when we passed through, and unfortunately the coffee shop was closed for remodeling. We'll have to come back over the summer.

Portland Art Museum - Portland, Oregon

The Portland Art Museum and the Northwest Film Center celebrated Animating Life: The Art, Science, and Wonder of LAIKA, a groundbreaking view behind-the-curtain into the visionary artistry and technology of the globally renowned animation studio. We received free admission from Stoel Rives, one of the sponsors of the museum.

Oregon Zoo - Portland, Oregon

Oregon Zoo was offering free admission so it was a perfect opportunity to check it out. Our favorite thing by far was the wheelchair accessible train.

Portland Winter Light Festival - Portland, Oregon

The Portland Winter Light Festival is a free annual winter light festival along both sides of the Willamette River. Each year has been presented by the local nonprofit Willamette Light Brigade and powered by Portland General Electric.
