Mountain View Champions Park - Aloha, OR

Staff from the school kept mentioning this park and we finally had a chance to check it out. Although the intention was an inclusive park, there were no features other than the pathways that were accessible. We still had a great time though. This is a very clean park and we love the soccer field with partially shaded seating for watching the games.

Multnomah Falls - Multnomah County, OR

After stuffed bellies from Black Bear, and a stuffed black bear from Black Bear, we drove out to Multnomah Falls. The walking trails were closed just beyond the restaurant and gift shop, but we still had a great time and took in a spectacular view.

Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals - Hillsboro, OR

Here we are on another great FREE adventure thanks to the Cultural Discovery Pass from the library. This time our stop was Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals. It was way more interesting than the name implies.

After a couple of hours exploring it was time for lunch. We headed over to Black Bear Diner in Beaverton. A very friendly bear bought Jilly a stuffed bear with his own money!!! She thanked him with kisses. It was one of the sweetest encounters with a stranger.

Pittock Mansion - Portland, OR

We really wanted Grandpa to see Pittock Mansion but it doesn't open again for tours until February. We still got to show him around the grounds and that amazing view over the downtown area.

Cook Park - Tigard, OR

A failed attempt at a Bob's Red Mill Factory Tour left us trying to figure out what to do. We decided to take Grandpa to Cook Park. We found a really cool path that wasn't paved, but still easy on the wheelchair. It felt like we entered another world!

Grandpa Howard was coming for a visit. Since he doesn't fly, he rode the train for 16 hours to stay with us for two weeks.

ZooLights (Portland Zoo) - Portland, OR

This was a beautiful display of lights, but it was too cold to stay long.
