San Bruno was too hot. Ten minutes North at Ocean Beach was cold and windy.

Junipero Serra County Park - San Bruno, CA

We decided to skip the playgrounds to see what the trails have to offer here. It was unusually hot so we didn't stay too long.

Purisima Creek Redwoods Trail - San Mateo County, CA

We just needed to get out of the house on a beautiful day but didn't know where to go. We seriously just looked at Google Maps for green areas on the peninsula that we haven't been to yet. We set the GPS and here we are.

Portland, OR

The second half of our vacation was in and around Portland, Oregon. We rented another Airbnb. This one was much more wheelchair friendly and surrounded by tall trees. We spent most of the time with family and ventured into Powell's City of Books. The bookstore covered an entire city block on 7 different levels and required a map to get around.

We had our own fireworks display in the backyard for our 4th of July celebration.
